Known as the most dog-friendly place to visit in the country, Austin sure does have a lot of places that welcome your furry friends with open paws. Get your pooch ready to tour this awesome place. Have fun y’all!

1. Auditorium Shores at Town Lake
Jog along or play catch in this off-leash area that offers great views of ATX’s skyline.

2. Texas State Capitol
Visit the seat of government in Texas with Fido. Take beautiful photos along it’s beautiful architecture and gardens.

3. Zilker Botanical Garden
Bring your pup and see breathtaking themed botanical gardens including the Taniguchi Japanese Garden, The Riparian Streambed, The Hartman Prehistoric Garden, and The Mabel Davis Rose Garden. These are connected together with pathways, streams, Koi ponds and thousands of blooming flowers.

4. Barton Creek Greenbelt
If you are planning to take your pet on a hike, consider going to Barton Creek, often referred to as “Greenbelt”. It is home to 12.68 of dog-friendly hiking trails and if you would want to take a quick dip, head over to Campbell Hole.

6. Banger’s Sausage House and Beer Garden
Grab something to eat at Banger’s. Enjoy country music and their quality menu made from scratch. They have an off-leash dog park and a sausage on the menu specifically made for your furry friends.

7. The Domain
Don’t forget to visit the shops when you’re in Austin. The Domain is your go-to shopping destination with over 100 stores and restaurants. Most of the boutiques are dog friendly and they even offer water bowls and sometimes treats for your pups.
